Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made through a process that involves breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres. These fibres are then combined with wax and a resin binder, and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is ideal for uses where wood needs to be glued, dowelled, or laminated, making it great for cupboards or cabinets or decorative pieces around the home.
